| SIR at X-S Tech Sun 7/13/2008 11:04p | I won't be able to attend the show and sale but would love to go to room hopping at least once. Can anyone tell me what nights that will be? |

| Mickeyfan1 Mon 7/14/2008 3:53p | Room Hopping will be on Tuesday night, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings. Usually begins about 6 p.m. and of course depends on when the people check into the hotel with all their goodies.
Have fun, and I hope you find lots of treasures! |

| Mickeyfan1 Tue 7/15/2008 6:59a | Srooy, but nothing yet as far as I know. I think Disney is working on finding a larger venue to use. I'm sure we will know by Wednesday. Check at the NFFC Registration Desk at the Crowne Plaza for the lastest updates. |

| DISNEYFAN1955 Tue 7/15/2008 9:00a | Please post the scheduale for all activities outside the NFFC rooms downstairs. Too many conflicting schedules are out on the internet and some members don't have access to the internet.
Is the Chapter meeting called something else? Is it the one that only last 1/2 hour to discuss "all" the business for the year?Is there no National meeting?
I have had members coming up to me asking me what time this is or that.
The NFFC needs better communication and it needs to be done now. Please don't tell me how hard people work. I know they do. I know things change...I know it's volunteers who do this. I am very involved with the NFFC, so I do volunteer. So let's not even go there.
This is probably the biggest reason attenndance is down the past several years. I would put more blame internally than the economy.
Let's just get the information out to the members....PLEASE!!!

Thanks -- I know so much is out of your hands, but I have to echo other sentiments. We are going to Comic Con the following weekend, and they have a huge number of seminars and events and they already have their schedule up. And the cost is so much less. Now, this will be my first time to Comic Con, so it may be just crazy making - but at least I can go ahead and plan where I want to be when.
This is meant in a kind and constructive way, but perhaps the folks from Comic Con would be willing to share ideas with the NFFC convention folks on what they do, so some best practices could be implemented with regard to getting the information out in a timely way.
I'm sure the NFFC convention will be good. It was last year. But its the same old song with regard to getting information out. And when the price continues to grow, it becomes a very serious conversation at home about what we can afford to spend our money on.

| skinnerbox Tue 7/15/2008 10:28a | I left NFFC years ago and do not regret it. Friends who remain still complain of the same old thing:
disorganized
disorganized
disorganized
NFFC has always been disorganized. It is part of their club DNA. It will never change.
I would rather spend my hard earned dollars on something less apt to disappointment me in the end. |

| Kimber Tue 7/15/2008 10:41a | Hey Kids -
The location for Tony Baxter's "special announcement" presentation has been moved to the spacious Opera House (Lincoln Theatre) on Disneyland's Main Street USA. We ask that you arrive by 9:45am, you must be inside by 10am. Details will be available at check-in beginning at 1pm today.
This is gonna be very cool.
See ya there!

Hello and welcome to the machinations of the world-wide Disneyana fan base. We're only as organized as the incredibly hectic schedules of our speakers allow us to be. When things change, we let you know as soon as we know.
The "bones" of our events haven't varied all that much in the nearly 25 years we've been around - seminars, speakers, special events, food, shopping and fun - pretty simple really.
In summarily writing us off you're missing great time!
Thanks,
Kim

| Kimber Tue 7/15/2008 11:05a | Hey DISNEYFAN1955 -
We do our best - the schedule is in the registration packet and is on the back of your convention badge - we try to keep conventioneers on track should events change as the convention goes along - some of the meetings have changed a bit and we can always make more time as we need to.
Please feel free to find any member of the Board and we'll be happy to listen. We try to keep the forum up to date and we read these boards as well. Our e-mail addresses are posted and you can always drop us a line as you need to.
As a point of reference though - take a look at the comic-con site - they're the largest - they've just posted their final schedule late last week and their convention begins on the 23rd - so we've got plenty of company.
Thanks,
Kim
