This topic is for Discussion of Latest: Disneyland Resort Esplanade rumor

We've heard the following rumor about the Disneyland Resort esplande:

Disneyland have approached Rick Caruso of Caruso Affiliated - the developers of the Grove at Farmer's Market and Americana at Brand in Glendale about developing a new esplanade between Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure Park that will also bring the WET Design-conceived fountains from Americana to the Disneyland Resort.

The rumor is kind of lacking any sort of real information.

As for the Esplanade, I would go for some kind of shade and maybe some water.

This is essentially good news... but what happened to the days when the mall developers copied Disney.

It's come full circle now hasn't it. Back when 'The Grove' opened, people said 'this is like Disneyland.'

Now, when this opens in Disneyland, people can say 'this reminds me of The Grove.'

That said, these aren't just any fountain engineers. They did do the Mirage Volcano and the Bellagio!

Any thoughts as to what will happen to our bricks with all of the changes planned?

Ours is located closer to DCA than Disneyland (looking from the big letters toward Disneyland, we're on the left - just over and down from the sundial. I think we're already in a precarious location as far as the build-out planned for the new entrance to DCA. Probably right on the fringes of the new construction.

"They did do the Mirage Volcano and the Bellagio!"

Aren't these the same people that are working on the PP lagoon show?

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if someone's information is off, and this is actually about World of Color.

<<Aren't these the same people that are working on the PP lagoon show?>>

WET Design are no longer engaged on the World of Color project. The technology is being developed by both WDI and other contractors.
