So, the AC, what happens there exactly? You go in and watch the little improv show on the stage, and the performers maybe wander around and interact with you? Besides having a couple of drinks and watching the little show, what else is there?

I've seen clips on YouTube of it, and I guess I'm just not getting what the big draw here is. The improv didn't even seem to be that funny to me.

Maybe it's one of those things where you just have to be there?

Seems to me that if Disney were making a good profit on it, they would figure out a way to keep it around. But if it isn't making much money...

It's one of those things where you have to be drunk. LOL.

I don't know TR, we have had a fantastic time drinking cokes there before. Imagine taking the Tiki Room, elements of the Golden Horseshoue review, and Who's Line IS It Anyway, and you have the Adventurer's club. In the mask room, AA african masks on the wall interact with the guests. In the main room, the bar stools move up and down like a Carousel, and there is the AA major who teaches you the rules of the club, the pledge and the song. And in the Library is the haunted piano and so fun improve with all sorts of characters, it's a hoot. On our honeymoon in 2000, we were there for 5 hours and still did not want to leave. It was fantastic! I would love to see it in DTD Anaheim.

The "AA major" is actually The Colonel, I think. But regardless, he is a puppet. He interacts with guests, similar to the new Mr. Potatohead, but better because it is a real performer doing the schtick and watching video of the Guests in the room and playing off of them with the things he says. Once when I was in there, one guy from somewhere was asked what he did for a living, and he said he crafted leather goods. That opened up a whole bunch of "leather" jokes from The Colonel. Including complementing another lady on her blouse. "Is it LEATHER?", asked the Colonel. Yeah, you had to be there I guess. But I've never been drunk in my life, and I've had as good a time in the AC as at any other Disney performer based attraction at any Disney park. Including the Golden Horseshoe shows and the 50s Prime Time Cafe.

My favorite room is the collections room. A long room filled with knicknacks and curiosities where The Curator walks in and tells stories about them, and then The Genie of the Lamp wakes up inside the cabinet at the far end (in an old fashioned visual effect that is still as fun today as it was a hundred years ago) and then the real fun begins with the interaction between The Curator and The Genie of the Lamp. And literally dozens more interactive experiences going on all the time throughout the club, not just in the Main Room, Collections Room, or Mask Room.

Westsider, if at all possible, a trip to WDW before Sept 27 to experience the Adventurers Club would be really worthwhile. It probably won't be resurrected once it closes, sadly, and Disney really doesn't have anything else quite like it anywhere else.

I'm familiar with what goes on in the AC; I've been there more than a few times. Sometimes I have had a fun time; others, it just seemed stupid and boring. I guess it is because it depends on how "on" the performers are, and how the guests interact with the performers.

AC has amazing detail in it. I left the two AC photos large on my blog so all that detail could be seen. www.insightsandsounds.blogspot.com

Yes, the performers made the place but only if the patrons were into what was happening. If not, everything fell flat. Alot like Enchanted Tiki Room! :)

The adventurers Club is a fan favorite but a corporate Persona non grata. Guess who's going to win that battle.

A Chunk N Cheese for grown-ups!!! Yeah, I can see why you'll need to be drunk to enjoy The Adventurers Club.

"I for one would like to throw out the idea of bringing the Adventures(sic)Club to Downtown Disney Anaheim"

I'd like to throw it out, too.

The thing ran its course and was only ever appreciated by a strange minority anyway. It was only ever Disney's version of a "Rocky Horror Picture Show" and most normal park guests wouldn't even know it existed.
