Hey everyone, I have a deluxe annual pass and it is blocked out this weekend. My whole family is going tomorrow and I want to go too? What is the best thing to do? Should I upgrade to a premium pass when I get there or just pay the 40 dollars to get in? If I pay the 40 dollars to get in can I still go to both parks and use fastpass?

I did exactly that I upgraded to a premium pass, if you are thinking of going at another time block outs are in effect you should up grade..you also save a lil more on food purchases , there are a few other perks as well, last year we were there at christmas time, so we bought a eight day pass to cover all the blockout dates then on our last day of our eight day pass we upgraded to a deluxe pass , i then upgraded to a premium pass , if you are going to go more than once then it is better , also once you have it, if you live close you can pop in anytime you want...have fun this weekend. yes you can still go to both parks...anyone can use fast passes..as well cheers from the tink-mobile

If you upgrade to a Premium AP bring your parking receipt and you will be credited with the $12.00.

Looking at the cost difference, if you paid for parking on your pass, AND you will be driving yourself, than it's only 9 more dollars to just upgrade to a premium verses buying the blockout and the parking. Totally worth it in my opinion.

On the other hand, if you don't already have parking on your pass (which increases the upgrade cost) and you are not going to pay to park a car on the 5th, that's $80 more than your block out pass. Not such an easy decsion. Do you see yourself going 2 more times on block out days? That's what it would take to make it worth it. Only you can decide.

And yes, w/ a blockout you can park hop and fast pass--but you'll need to get a hand stamp, your paper blockout ticket is essentially your pass for the day.
