Calling all Monk fans! All new season starts July 18th and I can't wait! Some good news is that Hector Elizondo will be joining the cast as Monk's new shrink. I can't wait to see these two guys working together. Anyone else excited?

I like Monk.. but I have to wait till they throw me a bone on Hulu, so I'm not as excited for the premier.

Watching those got me excited for new episodes, I love Mr. Monk and Disher, that guys was so cute last season I hope he continues to give us the good stuff this season. Also, you know that at some point we are going to have a Monk marathon!

I'm excited about Hector Elizondo, but I'm still really going to miss Stanley Kamel. It won't be the same without him. I think I'm going to miss Dr. Kroger even more than I miss Sharona.

Yeah it is a sad situation but there is an opportunity for something new and awesome to come from this! I mean while Dr. Kroger was kind of amazing and had a great relationship with Monk we dont know what kind of relationship Elizondo's character will have with Monk. I am guessing it will be great! I think they are going to turn this around and make Monk and his new doctor an awesome pair!

Oh, yeah. I have no doubt that Elizondo will be great--he's a very personable actor, and always brings a lot of heart to his characters. I'm sure he will fit in very well. In fact, since they did have to find someone new, I'm thrilled that that someone is Elizondo. I can't think of anyone who would have done better.

Does anyone know why Stanley Kamel isn't part of the cast anymore?

HRM sorry to have to inform you but he passed away this year! He had a heart attack I believe. There is actually a tribute to him on the USA Website! Very sad news and he will be missed but it will also be nice seeing Elizondo in this new role! I have a feeling he will thrive in it.

Yeah I know it really is, but USA has handled it very well so far! I love the piece that they have on the website now. I also saw a short clip for tonights episode last night and it looks like Elizondo's character is going to have been a close friend with Dr. Kroger. So looks like it will be handled well! I am looking forward to it.
