| Hista98 Tue 7/8/2008 12:27p | So I'm I the only one who feels that the new DCA is going to be a little too crazy with charecters, i can't think of one ride that is in the cannon (not just for dca but all the parks in general ) that isn't based on disney charecters. Not that thats a bad thing, i know one of the biggest complaints about dca was that there were not enough charecters but too me this seems like a little too much of a good thing and it seems like it will be overload. and i've always felt that some of the most popular and longest lasting attractions are original ideas i.e jungle cruise, pirates and huanted mansion, I also like these rides more becuase you have no idea what there going to be like and are really able to enjoy it and be pulled into the magic as you don't know what will happen on the ride. Where as with one based on a movie, If you've seen the movie you kind of know how it's going to go, and how it will end. and i know that john lassiter has a big say about imagineering and he's going to want to make rides based on his movies which is fine, but I hope he also branches out and does original rides too, like the ones disney used to make. what do you guys think about the new dca???

This is just off the top of my head. |

| Hista98 Tue 7/8/2008 12:37p | I would really be heart broken if they spent 1.1 billion dollars to fix up DCA and then people still didn't like it because it was too much of one thing. |

| davewasbaloo Tue 7/8/2008 12:39p | I think Hista was referring to the new plans Ursula, which with the exception of the trolley and preview center, are based on animated characters (inc MM and Wheel of Death) |

There are a fair number of people out there who will NEVER like it, no matter what they do. Oh well.

| Ursula Tue 7/8/2008 12:42p | How can the Wheel of Death be tied to a character with one just being slapped on the outside?
That doesn't change the theming, exactly, does it? |

| gottaluvdavillains Tue 7/8/2008 12:46p | I thought the Mickey or whatever was decided on the SoD was for the Water Show not to theme the SoD anyway...
I am sorry but this is just old everyone complains about the characters when when it all started it started in DL with Character Themed rides -
Not everything in either park is Character themed - But these are Disney Parks so I would expect character influences throughout -
