Topic: Disneyland Re-Dedication Ceremony -Thur 7/17 4 PM

1	Darkbeer Mon 7/14/2008 3:48a	Since nobody else has posted a meet for the "official" ceremonies that Disneyland Park will be offering, here is a chance to hook up... In honor of the Famous International Press Preview and the live ABC broadcast, which at the time, was one of the biggest live TV remotes ever, a group of Disney Internet fans (Yes, MiceChat and MouseInfo members have also been invited) will gather between the Flag Pole and the Train Station around 4 PM. We will watch the Flag Retreat at 4:30 PM, followed by the Official celebration, which is scheduled to happen from 4:45 PM to about 5:15 PM. Basically a few characters and the replaying of the speech Walt Disney read on July 17th and 18th, 1955. (I think the recording is from July 17th, but it might be from July 18th, which is where the vast majority of photos of the dedication speech comes from...) So please join us as we celebrate America and then Disneyland, USA. Also, for those interested, I will be hosting a Noon Meet on Friday, July 18th, in honor of Disneyland's Official Opening Day 53rd Anniversary. We will gather at the Central Plaza (aka Hub), inner circle near the Partners Statue. And of course, after the noon meet, head over to HoJo's to get wet in the new Castaway Cove area.... So please feel free to join us both Thursday at 4 PM and Friday at Noon. :)
