On the 18th I believe darkbeer is going to host a multi-web site get together. Also on the 18th HoJos is hosting a "christening" ceramony for it's new waterpark in the afternoon, HoJo's and non-HoJo's guests are equally invited. |

As for Thursday, July 17th, an "Internet" gathering will start at 4 PM to watch both the Flag Retreat at 4:30 PM and followed by the Re-dedication Ceremony at 4:45 PM. We are starting early, because we expect a large crowd based on the last couple of years. So show up early and get to spend a few minutes saying hello to other Disney fans before the Flag Retreat starts (and does last about 10 to 15 minutes) followed by the Re-Dedication Ceremony.
I know a lot of folks are planning to watch the Fireworks in the park, but Lisa and I will be at HoJo's, watching them from the Hot Tub!!!! So feel free to join us if you are a HoJo guest afterwards on Thursday the 17th. (I want to get some photos of the Fireworks from the GREAT view from the HoJo's Hot Tub!)
And yes, at Noon on July 18th, I am hosting another "Internet" meet in honor of the Official Opening Day of Disneyland 53 years ago, and then we will be taking as a quick walk to HoJo's for the "Christening" of Castaway Cove. |

The Re-Dedication Ceremony, starting at 4 PM on Thursday, basically the area where they board the Horse-Drawn Streetcars, the South side of the Flag Pole near the Train Station. We will have to move around 4:30 PM, as they need to use the area to allow the Honor Guard to march out.

Wed 7/16/2008 9:48a | Darkbeer how fun! Sounds like you and Lisa are going to have great view of the fireworks and get to relax at the same. I like to watch them from the Minni level of the parking structure right at the edge. Thats my fave place to watch them. |
