Anybody have any further info?

I know that Disney is seriously looking at cutting back CM hours.

The Fantasmic refurb, as well the Aladdin refurbs are timed to maximize the labor savbings with their return dates.

They have done it in the past with the Electrical Parade.

Is this a "Forever" closing, or is it just a savings in labor for the off-season, IF it is true...

Wouldn't surprise me - considering it opened in 94 tied to a movie from 89 that wasn't that great of a movie to begin with - it might very well be time for something new! If I were making budget cuts due to a slow economy, this one would be on the list :( I can't recall the last time we even saw it! To me it's not like Star Tours that you do again and again.

I say "Adios!" A mediocre attraction at best.

I am ok with it closing. I wont miss it one bit. Besides I rather get spit by a virtual balloon than a virtual oversized dog.

Hmmm...a stage inside HISTA? We could bring back the TLand Stage of yore...or, dare I say it, Videopolis...

Or the Wall-E 3D adventure :)

If they want to save, closing HISTA is the perfect way to do it.

What's another empty waste of space in Disneyland? Bring it on.

Though I wonder why they would HAVE to close it considering it's sponsored by Kodak and the entire pre-show is Kodak propaganda.

I don't really have a better idea for the space but I too, think it's time they got rid of this one.

I've never seen the movie. What are the things that people don't like about it?
