"Weird" Al!

Just a few days ago. What an incedible writer and performer. The persona he puts on is quite amazing.

Steely Dan Sat. Aug. 2nd at the Harvey's Amphitheater in South Lake Tahoe - awesome show except they didn't do "Reelin' in the Years" and "Rikki, Don't Lose That Number".

Bon Jovi - January 2008. Went with debtee...we had a blast!! They were brilliant. I felt like I was a teenager again. Jon is like a fine wine...he gets better with age!!

Tom Jones. It was quite frankly disappointing and I won't be going back. He just sang unknown easy-on-the-voice songs. Then he spent about 10 minutes on his world-famous hits. I thought the music was designed to conserve his voice, it was uninteresting music.

I haven't been to any shows in months but I have 4 shows coming up this month:

Aug. 15: Brandi Carlile Band at the Tractor Tavern in Ballard (Seattle) (Technically billed as "Late Morning Lullaby featuring The Fighting Machinists)
Aug. 16: Brandi Carlile Band at Marymoor Park in Redmond, WA (near my house)
Aug. 22: Brandi Carlile Band at the zoo in Portland, OR
Aug. 30: A private concert for...you guessed it: Brandi Carlile.

Their song "The Story" has been featured in a new GM ad that's been played a lot during the Olympics this year. Anyway, I usually see them play every few months but it's been over 9 mo. since the last show. Can't wait! :-)

Stevie Wonder last September in Concord, CA. Lisann22 and her family and mine. What a great evening! Great show, wonderful setting, great company and a clear, moonlit sky. Awesome!
