^^^My 15 year old so wanted to go to that concert because she LOVES Owl City...seriously, I mean LOVES! But I refused because I did not want to see Demi Lavato!!
Last concert I went to was Switchfoot in Encinitas in June.
The concert I went to before that was Switchfoot in Del Mar in June. :)

Most recent was The Protomen / Urizen in August (actually saw them twice in 2 days)
The concert before that was only a week earlier with Richie Branson, Power Glove, and mc chris. mc chris played a two hour set (his longest yet) and it was phenomenal.

Well, since my last post, there have been tons... last was on Tuesday, I saw David Grissom. Tonight I'm seeing Charlie Narayan & Andy Harn (Charlie is a dear friend of mine) on the patio of a restaurant down in South Austin, and tomorrow is day 1 of ACL Fest. I can't wait for ACL Fest, and I'm hoping I get sufficient sleep tonight... hopefully I will since the boys will be done at 9 and I can hopefully start heading north not TOO long after that.

Hopefully, Pink and Lady Gaga next year. ;)

Does Mary Poppins count? We saw it last night. LOVED Supercalifragilisticexpialadocious and Step in Time.

This month has been concert free, I think... just been to a couple of shows like the Capitol Steps (LOVED IT!), The Onion Pre-Election Roast (fun, but not as fun as it would have been had I NOT seen the AMAZING Capitol Steps the night before), and then Fran Lebowitz and Frank Rich.
ACL Fest was freakin' AWESOME, though - and my cousin and I already have bought our VIP tickets for next year. What does VIP get us? "Mini spa treatments" which I'm thinking means something like foot or chair massages, catered food to snack on, and, most important of all, ACTUAL BATHROOMS with FLUSHING TOILETS. I cannot put into words what a big deal that is for me, but suffice to say I have a weak gag reflex. Oh, and it's awesome that since we got 4 tickets, we get VIP parking not far from the gates, too. No two-mile hike to the car like '11 or horribly long line for the shuttle back to downtown like this year. :)
Anyhow, standouts for me at ACL this year were the Black Keys, Andrew Bird, Michael Kiwanuka, Delta Spirit, M83, Bombay Bicycle Club, Asleep at the Wheel, The Wombats (my new favorite Liverpool-band that's actively producing music), Iggy and the Stooges (c'mon, how can you NOT love it when an old punk icon has people bum rush the stage and FILL IT UP), and Delta Spirit, to name a few. I can't wait to see who'll be playing next year! *SQUEE*
Coming up next on the menu for me: front row center at Joe Rogan this coming Saturday night, then on the 5th I'm seeing Neon Trees and on the 15th, Bryan Adams is doing a solo acoustic show that I am totally ready for. Then on the 22nd, it's my annual viewing of The Santaland Diaries (based on the David Sedaris story, of course!), and on the 23rd I'm taking my Mom to see a matinee of a stage production of White Christmas.
I think that's all I have on the schedule for December...I need to see if I can find more to do. ;)
