Last night in Concord, CA. Steve Miller Band; Joe Cocker started things off.

Steve Miller Band doesn't translate very well live. I've heard many time over the years(just like the group The Cars) to stay away but I went anyways. They pumped out high quality music, several well known hits, in the studio but I'm afraid on stage they leave me unsatisfied.

Before that Van Halen in Oakland last Dec.---- off the hook! The way concerts should be.

REM in Redwood City, CA in '05. great show too.

That is too funny. I loved the Osmond show when I was a kid. And I saw them in concert when I was 9 or 10! I was in McDonalds yesterday and Deep Purple Dreams (or whatever its called) came on. I haven't heard that song in years!!!!

<<<My last concert was BB King in July. Made me cry. Truly.>>>

I knew I liked you girlie. I saw him last August in Concord, CA. I've seen BB many many times since I was a kid. It was such a sentimental show this last one.

Yes, Stevie with Kar2ooman and our families was one of the best of best for me and I've been to a ton of concerts. Again nostalgia played a part in it but Stevie the genius was in rare form.

I saw Mary J Blige in April - fantastic!

Yesterday, I saw 3 other musicians play...a country band called "Westerly", Jackie Greene and Pat Monahan from Train. I really liked Jackie Greene and even though I am not a Train fan, Pat was really good and has a really good sense of humor.

It was about 95 yesterday and it was an outdoor musicfest but, all-in-all, it was really fun.

Last concert I went to was last July. The singer told me stories of a little Runaway. He then asked Who Says You Can't Go Home. Later on he told us It's My Life, it's now or never, he wasn't going to live forever. He then said that You Give Love A Bad Name, but we're Living on a Prayer and if we took his hand he swore we'll make it. But while telling us our love was like Bad Medicine, he told us that he's seen a million faces and rocked them all, he was a cowboy and on a steel horse he rode and he was Wanted Dead or Alive.

Here's a clip from the show I went to Friday. What you can't see in the video is that it was at least 100 degrees in the bar.

This is a new song and I can't get it out of my head. I'm not sure I want to. ;-)

No laughing

February 14th at the Staples Center
Barry Manilow
We had a blast - I am unashamed.

Oh, and Donny Osmond was there in the audience - really.

(Can I gain back a little rock and roll repect by saying I saw Queen in concert in the mid 1970s?)
