Wow. I guess it was about 2.5 years ago. We saw Toby Kieth at Shoreline in Mountain View, CA.

That man certainly likes to...um...party.

Hmm - East Avenue Middle School's Advance Band. They were awesome... especially the saxaphone section... Along with them was the Jackson Ave/Arroyo Seco Elementry School combined bands.. THey are coming along and didn't make our ears bleed... My little trumpet player was a cutie!

Ooh, I forgot to list seeing Brandi Carlile (I'm going to just say BCB from now on...Brandi Carlile Band) play with the Seattle Symphony on November 29th.

It's really cool when your favorite band lives in the same area you live in. Handy. :-)

Like LPers, I've got a large group of friends who go to these shows so it's more of a social thing than just about music.

I missed the opener on Friday. His name is Gregory Alan Isakov. He did come out and sing one song with Brandi and he has a lovely voice.

Right now I'm working on squeezing in a quick concert trip to Philly and maybe NYC next month. :-)

One hour ago.

At our local theatre

A Big band was playing with vocalists.

I went to Scotland with the trumpet player to perform in the Edinburgh tatoo in 1975.

He has been on the professional music scene in Vancouver almost constantly. I've been playing in community bands.

They play "Fever," "In the Mood" and other swing favorites.

I got the courage up (with the help of my girlfriend) to go after the concert and talk to the trumpet player. We had a few laughs!

Woo, booked my trip. We're hitting Philly, Maryland and Virginia, a concert each night and then I fly home, exhausted. :-D

You are making that trip to see the BCB?

The last concert I saw was last March. moe. Cleveland HoB. And I scored tix for Bonnaroo and Phish in Pittsburgh on June 18th.

I would have seen a lot more shows, but this past year has been a speed bump in my life.
