I recently stayed at the Disneyland Hotel. While there I used the pool. Based on observations I am convinced that more than just hotel guest use the pool. I think that people from the surrounding local neighborhoods come use the pool. I have no real proof, it just seems that way.

That would be interesting - what makes you think that they weren't all Hotel guests?

Lunch bags, Happy Meals (remember no more Mc Donald's in park), and swim wear underneath their street clothes.

Hmm - My kids wear their suits under their clothes all the time in the parks - I would be suprised if they had just came in - Maybe it was a day care field trip.

I would find it shocking if these were not customers - If this was something that happened Disney would make it harder to get in - Don't you need a room key to get in? I know my then 18 year old had to show our room charge slip to get in with my DD since he didn't have his room key.

Would be interesting to find out if Disney has a policy about that.

I have a question...

How late is the pool area open? I'm assuming they have a spa?

<<<Don't you need a room key to get in?>>

Yes you do, but it is very easy to get in without one.

Not that I would know anything about that.
