3	Rebekah Mon 9/15/2008 8:30p	I met George Putnam at the Smokehouse in Burbank. I was young maybe not even in my teens yet. He was quite gracious and signed an autograph for me. I totally believe the stories that he was the inspiration for Ted Baxter on the Mary Tyler Moore show. He was a tremendous advocate for the humane treatment of animals. R.
