I'm pleased that Googie architecture is now well recognised as an important part of Southern California's heritage and I hope that as much as possible of what remains of it can be preserved. As was said in the article, it symbolises optimism. |

Walt Disney Imagineering designed the interior. |

| MouseBear Tue 8/7/2001 10:03p | Salutations Marc,
It sounds like you are pretty good friends with Mr. Sotto, which must be quite an adventure. He sounds like a fascinating person! I'll have to go check out "Encounter" sometime. It sounds weird, but cool.
Looking forward to hearing lots from you as DisneySea revs up.

| Torgo Fri 8/10/2001 6:32p | This guy is my new hero now. (Eddie Sotto, that is). I was so impressed with the Space Mountain music at Disneyland, both for the music itself and how it fit into the ride and Tomorrowland as a whole. Now after reading about this restaurant it makes perfect sense. I wish he still worked for Disney, even if only as a consultant. |

Did you know Eddie Sotto regularly posts on one of the message boards at http://www.themedattraction.co m/ ? |

| Torgo Sat 8/11/2001 1:47a | No, hopemax, thanks for the tip! Now I can get on there and creep him out with gushing fan letters. I hope there's a voice chat sometime; I'd just ask him to say "This is tower. Launch sequence engaged" over and over again.
