OLIVER & COMPANY holds a special place in my heart because it was with this film that the Disney mania began for me. Seeing it widescreen is like seeing it all over again for the first time.

same here! it was the first Disney film i saw in a theater that made me a fan of animation! i can't wait to get the dvd! I wish it would have included the original Mcdonalds Christmas ornaments tv comercial(which featured animation of Oliver & Dodger not seen in the movie) but hey i guess i shouldnt complain. i should be thankful they even added a concept art section.

I just had to bring this back up so i could say that i agree w/ ToonKirby, the extras in this disc were awful! What a dissapointment! The concept art was the only really cool extra but it wasnt enough. The making of's were the worst. I can remember a long time ago seeing a lot of other making of's featuring Oliver Co. that were a whole lot more informative than the clip fests they have on this disc! Why not have used the Disney Channel special The Magic of Disney Animation(i think that was the title but I not sure ). It featured a truly extensive look at the animation procees & included a large bulk of Oliver & Co production work among other Disney animated films( I had it taped a long time ago but my tape is now very wornout).
I'm afraid this doesnt bode well for the upcoming Great Mouse Detective DVD, hopefully they will do a better job on that one(yeah, right).
