I would like to note that the ending to Snow White's Scary Adventures seems to kill off the dwarves too. If you notice, the queen is pushing the rocks at the dwarves and then gets struck by lightning. So, wouldn't the dwarves get trampled by the falling rock? I've always wondered about it.

I don't like that at the end of Maelstrom, you are kind of "trapped" there until they let you into the theatre. It's really irritating just standing there waiting to leave. If they want you to watch the silly movie they should put it in the BEGINNING of the ride! There's nothing like waiting forever to get onto a ride then waiting again to get off of it!!!

Remember the silly movie is why these countries support their sites..they want you to visit and spend......we can;t lose sight of that

True. They are actually updating it. Apparently the new one will be ready in about a year.

OK, I did not read the endings of the Mummy because I don't want any spoilers for that ride when I go the Nov. I will have to take exception to Malestorm and Snow White. The original version of Snow White was one of the best traditional spook house attractions ever made. The ending with the boulder is the same thing that happens in the movie. Does Snow White the movie have the worst ending ever!?
How about Mr. Toad, in that one you get hit by a train and end up going to HELL! Really upbeat there. BTW I think that Toad has one of the BEST endings in a dark ride ever.
Also Malestorm, while being a bit on the short side is a very good attraction, one of EPCOT's best. The movie at the end is very well shot and edited. The sound editing is especially well done. If you don't want to watch the movie you can always leave.

I have to agree on that. Maelstrom is one of my favorites at EPCOT. And while there are times I don't like waiting after the ride is over, I do watch the movie from time to time. The Jaws ending is pretty good, at least it's far better than the Jaws in California. And it's pretty much taken from Jaws 2. Granted, it might be better to act is if the sequels don't exist, but it was probably a lot easier to achieve than blowing the shark into pieces every few seconds.

In fact, the only bad ending I can think of at Disney World is the end of my vacations! That having to leave and go home part is terrible.

I understand that, I just think it's not placed properly. Put it in the beginning of the ride so all of the waiting is done at once not waiting to get on, waiting to leave. I understand that you don't have to sit through the movie but oftentimes I get off the boat as soon as the door shuts and left waiting another however long, five minutes or so and in that five minutes that dock gets pretty packed with people. The town setting is really cute, but you can only look at it for so long before getting a little sick of it. I'm not tearing apart the ride but this whole topic is about ride endings and what we don't like about them...that's it, not trying to bash the maelstrom or epcot for that matter, just sticking to the topic ;)
