| Labuda Tue 8/24/2004 6:41a | I'm confused... I thought the Mousekateer one was done by Wayne Allwine and Russi Taylor. Guess not, eh? :/ |

| LindsayC Tue 8/24/2004 7:32a | Actually.. that was an error, that photo has the wrong credit - that is the one by Allwine and Taylor |

| ChiMike Tue 8/24/2004 8:45a | I saw the Mickey's in February and when I went back in March I was very much pleased to no longer see them!
Very much in the minority, as always,
Mike |

| Labuda Tue 8/24/2004 9:23a | WHy were you pleased to have them gone, Mike? Were they trashed when you saw them in Feb?
They were pristine when I saw them in December. Only thing that bugged me were the adults & children who thought the rope was there for fun & they could crawl all over the statues to their hearts' content. HEATHENS! |

| ChiMike Tue 8/24/2004 9:33a | No .. Simply an issue of opinion.
I thought they were kind of pointless and another PR gimmick in a long line of PR gimmicks to help disguise the true problems lying with in Disney's divisions. I don't really care for these temporary gimmicks, and thought they clashed with the imagineered view of the Train Station.
I wonder how much the entire program cost, in manpower and money. I'd much rather see even the marginal cost be applied towards an animated project or theme park maintenance. Something with meat (or vegetarian equivalent). I'm sick of the finger snacks. |

| leemac Tue 8/24/2004 10:40a | Mike, I'd agree with you, but as the Mickeys were designed purely as a charity event, I loved them. I can't wait for the DLR auction and hope to be able to make a bid or two on my favourites!
As with the view, I guess they wanted them to be at the Magic Kingdom, but didn't want people to have to have admission to see them. |

| ChiMike Tue 8/24/2004 10:55a | Very good point Lee .. I had forgotten the chairity angle.
I know they were very popular, and I'm not trying to make anyone feel worse in the slightest for enjoying them.
