There are programs to convert but sound sync is a problem as NTSC is 30 frames a second and PAL is only 25. Sorry if I'm getting too technical here. |

I disagree. The missing floats (along with the few that were trasported to DLP made up for a most impressive and cohesive show, as opposed to DLP's butchered states. The parade as it is now looks rushed and incomplete to those of us who saw it in it's original version at the park for which it was designed to play. Rather than dropping these floats for the reasons forementioned in the article...I would dare add that budgets were one reason for the parade being shorted, and I am yet to see a great cast of parade performers such as the cast and crew that performed at and made TDL's Fantillusion! a hit from day one. |

If you had seen how the OLC had treated the floats before shipping them out to Paris you would appreciate why this isn't the case. They left them out in the elements to decay.
I still stand by the repetitive elements. I also think a parade that only really comes alive in show modes is a huge mistake. You miss so much of the show depending on where you sit. The whole Enchanted Garden sequence could pass you by (at both TDL and DLP) and you would see no characters due to the dark drapes and even the walking performers would be cloaked.
Love the music but just a Fantasmic! rip-off in my opinion. |

| geoffa Thu 8/18/2005 2:39p | Well, for us mere mortals that haven't seen it in any shape or form before it hit Paris I find it colouful and entertaining and would suggest you take a chill pill! You have to accept that DLP is the poor relation - if they'd built it in a country where the climate and attendance figures would be guaranteed then you get stuff relative to income. But ex beet fields came cheap! With a £26 million ($40 million)loss on last years accounts they ain't going to throw money about. DLP is never likely to get Fantasmic so Fantillusion in its Parissiene form is the best you're gonna get. Why do you think the studios are so small? |

| deephil Sat 8/27/2005 10:22a | Having just got back from DLP I just have to mention that Chip & Dale were on the garden float when we watched it, the only problem we saw was the fact that Cinderella & Sleeping Beauty were missing also there were large gaps between floats which made it quite obvious there was something missing. Sometimes the floats went too fast and other times they went too slow. Giving an appearance of not quite fitting and hard to follow the story sometimes. |
