| figment1986 Fri 8/10/2007 4:26p | Wow, I remember that exhibit from my first trip to Disneyland in April of 1999. This article is great and also surprising, I did not know they used the rainbow mickey outfit outside of EPCOT Center, let alone in 97.
Thank you. |

A shame that the Disney Gallery is closing because I always liked to see the latest exhibits and I never got a chance to sit in the balcony during the Fantasmic show. The closest I got was dropping on DlandDug when he was up there. Alas I wasn't allowed and was told to leave. I don't understand why because I was just a friend seeing DlandDug. That still hurt me. |

Cause it wasn't free and those people paid to sit up there to watch the show. |

We were all kind of surprised that Mickey showed up in that outfit. Even then it seemed retro.
Salmon? They served salmon? I guess I was too busy talking up the Disney Legends. I do remember the breakfast was nice, though. May I assume we are seeing the side of your head in those pictures...?
As db pointed out, the Fantasmic! balcony is ticketed-- and must be purchased 30 days in advance! The Gallery can't accommodate last minute guests. Sorry. |

What an awesome year that was, Light Magic and all. I actually met you face to face a few years later at the Ambassador Ceremony in the Who Wants To Be a Millionaire: Play It attraction when Becky Murphy was chosen to be the Ambassador. My picture is in your LP story from that day, also! :) I have lots of pictures in my photo album from that day. And the reason I remember the salmon is because my then-boyfriend was the sous-chef responsible for working that event. Even though he's now an ex, the salmon was still top notch! |

| DlandDug Sat 8/11/2007 12:23p | Wow.
I am in awe.
I had such a time identifying you! I couldn't find a succinct list for the Disneyland Ambassadors for each year. An extensive Google search turned up... my own story about the 2003 Ambassador ceremony, with your photo. Later, when I checked the Magical Memory brick out in front of the entrance to Disneyland, I was surprised to find there were THREE Ambassadors that year. So I am glad I had a picture to work from! |

I am sure it doesn't come up often but if it's ever needed it might be nice to have some sort of resource. I'll e-mail Adonis and Garnett and see if they have a document already saved with just names and years.
Maybe I will see you at the Ambassdor Ceremony this year. It's scheduled for the 19th of October. I'll be a bit tired from the Halloween Treat the night before but I'll be there with bells on! I hope to see you then! |
